The guilds
Lavish furniture decorates this room, you can tell the Mistress has spared no expense in keeping this public room well kept. A small coffee table surrounded by grey sofas sits in the middle of the room. A marble chessboard is off to one side, an unfinished game on it. Glancing up you see a crystal chandelier and above it the sigil of the House within a circle painted on the ceiling. A wet bar stocked with brandies, rums and wines is against another wall and the curtains are drawn to let some light in. The hall is back north.
Taking a glass from a nearby rack, you imperiously hand it to the waiting servant and demand it be filled with the finest brandy. The servant gasps and drops the glass to shatter across the floor. He exclaims, 'This is not your house! You cannot drink their brandy!'
Just as you think it prudent to be on your way the servant grins at you and then yells, 'GUARDS!'
