A Restaurant Guide to the Realms
by Bender
I have attempted to compile a guide highlighting the cuisine of the realms. The opinions contained herein are those of the author alone.
Any additions or corrections will be added in future additions.
Adventurer's Wayside Inn
Rating- Strongly Recommended
As the name suggests, this spot is popular for adventurers. Perhaps it is because of the calming influence that Esme, the proprietor, has over her establishment. The menu contains staple fare, and I especially recommend the tenderloin steak. The Inn is located in Southern Arinock, and may be reached by portalling to Esme.
Stormy Winds Pub
Rating- Recommended
Located in Frost Village, this pub caters to those with a deep winter chill. The menu is sparse, but hearty. For those interested, the winter lager served here is some of the finest brew to be had in the realms. Stormy, the owner, also prides herself on her hot cocoa. Frost Village is located roughly north from the Island, and the inn may be reached by portalling to Stormy. Rumor has it that Stormy occasionally cheats her customers, so caveat emptor.
A Large Pub
Rating- Not Recommended
This place is not for the faint of heart. The menu offers only two items- moldy bread and trollish brew. The trollish brew is passable, but the moldy bread is positively wretched. The only time I would recommend eating it is if you are so miserable that you are looking for an escape from your sufferings. The pub is located in the Troll Den, and can be reached by portalling to Lankir.
Golden Sun Tavern
Rating- Recommended
The Golden Sun is a very attractive place to visit. Sierra, the barkeep, is a very pleasant lady, and she keeps the tavern in pristine condition. The dark ale is superior to that served by Lankir, but there is no food on the menu. The Golden Sun is located in Three Firs, and can be reached by portalling to Sierra.
Smuggler's Inn
Rating- Not Recommended
This place is not worth the paper I use to write this review. There is no food on the menu, not that I would recommend it if there were, and the liquor is watered down and grates the throat. If you insist on visiting this place, it is located in Visegrad, and may be reached by portalling to Patch.
The Grunting Boar
Rating- Recommended
Another fine place to enjoy a cool and refreshing beverage. The beer here is very refreshing to the palate, but the downside is that you must provide your own food. Perhaps dinner at Esme's followed by a nightcap here would be a most fulfilling evening. The Grunting Boar is located in Arinock, near Meshra.
The Weeping Girl Inn
The Weeping Girl Inn was recently purchased and completely renovated by Catriona. It is now named The Inn of the Rose. A review will be published when available but the reputation of the proprietress suggests one should most certainly seek it out.
The Broken Horn
Rating- Recommended
If you find yourself in Mahn-Tor, you could do worse than to visit The Broken Horn. While Lily offers only one drink, you will find that Minotaur Brew to be quite strong and very pleasant. It is much more expensive than the brews offered in other parts of the realms, but you should find that the lasting effects will make the price worth it. You can reach The Broken Horn by portalling to Lily.
In my travels, I have heard of a place called the International House of Pancakes. It is not a restaurant. It is not a bar, and I would STRONGLY discourage anyone from visiting there.
