Midrange Weapons of the Lands
by Teshi

Note: While not quite a history of a particular land, this text on some of the more accessible weapons of various lands is most interesting.

Well, if you are in the hunt for a mace, you’re in luck. There seems to be quite a collection of maces located within the Keep of Mahn-Tor. Gorak wields the rod of weaponry, Sumaron wield a huge mithril mace, the Ring Keeper wields a huge wooden maul, and lastly the elite minotaur guards wield huge morningstars.

Now for those of you who prefer swords, well, I've found some good swords too. In the Mahn-Tor Keep, Dorgar wields a wicked shortsword. If you go visit Troy Umemial in the Black Tower north of the battlefield full of orcs, (I recommend a dose of invisibility for you smaller ones or the orcs can be rough) Troy wields a blackened sword of Deception (vorpal). If you bop on over to the Troll Kingdom, there are some nasty Troll Goons who wield sharp steel longswords (vorpal). Lastly if you visit the Schwenkian Sanctuary and enter the Hall of Legends at the end of the hall is Vikk, the guard master, and he wields the Sword of Defense.

Well, for those of you who prefer staffs, the Mahn-Tor Keep is again the place you want to go. Nasturn wields an ice staff (frost), a staff that takes two hands to wield, and Amyrok wields a gnarled magius staff.

Now on to the polearm people! An orcish captain on the battlefield south of the Black Tower wields a wicked sharp fauchard, it sure is Sharp! Then again it is back to Mahn-Tor's Keep where the royal minotaur guards wield minotaur glaives. They take two hands to wield. Lastly Takraul, also located in the Keep, wields a ruby studded ranseur.

For you axe wielders, again, it’s back to Mahn-Tor, but this time to visit the man himself, Mahn-Tor, who wields Mahn-Tor's great axe (go figure). Then we travel over to the Troll Kingdom to meet Ungus, the troll berserker, who wields a large steel battleaxe.

For those of you more keen to little weapons, Irena the Red Mage found deep within the Black Tower wields a red enameled dagger and, gee, it’s sharp! Also in the Troll Kingdom is a nasty lurking Troll Thug (he likes to hide) and he wields a rusty curved blade.

Now, for the odds and ends. The Troll Archers surrounding the Troll Castle have some Troll short bows that seem to work for everyone (exotic). Of course we can't forget the Mahn-tor keep again. The Ring Keeper also wields spiked brass knuckles for those of you who prefer to use your hands when you fight. Lastly for those of you who prefer flails, the Captain of the golden mines orc clan wields a blackened footman's flail.
