The sylvan

The sylvan are the most common breed of elves found in Rhia, if not in number, but in stereotype. When one imagines an ‘elf’, it is generally the sylvan people who first come to mind and if one subscribes to the theory that once all elvenkind were one, likely once they were all sylvan. Sylvan are slighter than kine in height and girth. Lacking in sheer strength, they are considerably more agile and possess a finely cultured intelligence. In lands controlled entirely by the sylvan, high civilization and elaborate social structures predominate, making it slightly awkward for sylvan who come to these lands, a veritable tangle of races and societies. Thus sylvan are often viewed by outsiders as both paragons of beauty and uptight snobs.
